Our JJ has graduated from Primary
We are so proud of him!
Well he has done it. Another accomplished mile-stone in his life. What a great accomplishment for him to learn with an entirely new language and studies all together. His final exams scores were above average and overall his grade point for the 6th grade is 8.2. ( 10 being like an "A" in America.
When we arrived to Mexico almost 15 months ago our outlook about our children's education was different then what it is today. I wanted the best private school and a place where everyone spoke English. I look back and now think who was I kidding.
There I was living in Mexico with 2 children who knew zero Spanish and I expected everything to be a certain way. I didn't realize what my kids went through until now. I have been reflecting on this allot. Imagine to go to school and not know what the kids next to you are saying. Or listening to the teacher give a lesson and not understand what was going on at all. Wanting to play with kids but not knowing how to begin.
I look at my JJ and see this bright, intelligent, strong young man who has accomplished more in 1 year then I could have ever imagined. I am amazed and inspired by him and my Leah everyday.
