Dia del Nino

A day for the kids! A Mexican holiday to celebrate children. How great is that!
The actual holiday was on this past Friday, but we celebrated today and took the kids to Adventures Water Park.

Just Arriving at the Water Park

Lazy River Time

Our favorite part of the park was the Lazy River. We each had our own inter-tubes and just went around in them most of the day. The water slides were super fun too of course. My kids arent real thrill seekers so we took to the calmer slides. Somehow I talked Jeff into going on one too and his sweet skinny booty was flying in the air...it was pretty priceless hearing him give a shout!

A little insider info about the Adventures Water Park in Nuevo Vallarta

-Bus fare from Centro Puerto Vallarta to park was 9 pesos (0.70 cents each) and took about 20 minutes

-As a resident you get a huge discount. First our admissions total was about 800 pesos for the 4 of us, but of course I put on the "You gotta be kidding me" face and insisted that was wrong. Then she asked for ID or a utility bill showing that we lived here. Jeff just so happened to have a power bill receipt in his wallet...but heres the best part, it was in our landlords name and ?????
She accepted that and then our total was like 390 pesos. Score!

-Food ranges in price from 64 pesos and up. There is a main snack bar that we ate from and a couple conccession stands. Everything is Theme park priced.

-You can bring in food of your own if you want. There were noone checking bags.

-There is a great toddler section too, for those with little ones.

This was done on timer and there was bee flying around us. JJ just couldn't take one for the team..as you can see, the rest of us were toughing it out. I was freekin' out I just stood there like a statue. lol
