Simple Saturdays

Im sorry I haven't been able to post much recently. My excuse is the kids starting school and how crazy its been but really I think I have just fallen into a bit of laziness, which I am totally entitled to!!!

This past Saturday we decided to head to a town called Boca (meaning mouth) to spend the afternoon on the beach and have lunch. Jeff has been itching to try this crawfish (these things looked like baby lobsters) they were enormous, anywho the crawfish is served up at this little restaurant made up of tables and chairs on the beach and a closet for a kitchen. Great place! The crawfish is served up in a soup with tortillas, onion, cilantro and lime....yummy!

After lunch we drove north to Mismaloya. A famous little beach where the movie Night of the Iguana was filmed in 1964. The scenery at this beach is absolutely amazing.... sorry no pics of Leah..she got to the camera and didnt like the photos of her so she decided to delete them.

Slow Sailing

This post is a little delayed but wanted to share anyway. Puerto Vallarta has a beautiful marina with a breathtaking variety of boats. The family went on a very relaxing sailing trip over the weekend on The Brier Patch, a gorgeous 60 ft vessel . I love to sail and have been patiently waiting to experience it again on beautiful Banderas Bay. JJ & Leah practice knots with Dad before we went out and were perfect little deck hands.
